Cam Newton in 2012

Cam Newton. One of the biggest names in the NFL last year. He got 21 TD's for 4,051 YD's, but he got 17 interceptions. That may seem ok but the real stuff is in his running. He got 706 YD's and 14 TD's from rushing. This is amazing from a rookie like this. The one thing you have to think about though is even though he broke all of these rookie records; will he be able to continue this way? You may be like why wouldn't he, but you need to realize the competition he has this year and how teams will adapt to the Carolina Panthers playing style. This year the Panthers must face strong defenses such as: New Orleons Saints, New York Giants, Atlanta Falcons, Dallas Cowboys, Chicago Bears, and the Philadelphia Eagles. This shows some tough times up ahead for the Panthers. I feel that Cam Newton will not be able to do as well, and he will get 3,573 YD's passing for 17 TD's and 12 interceptions. He will also get 543 YD's rushing for 9 TD's. No way the Panthers are going to make the playoffs!!! I don't care if Saints are in trouble; the Falcons are a force that may take over the NFC South.

Saints End?

The Saints have been getting ripped apart by themselves this year. They not only have lost there coach due to the bounty, but MLB Vilma is also suspended, and QB Drew Brees has refused to show up to OTAs due to current contract issues. So, no leader, no franchise player, no coach; what will end up happening? For the current situation Brees will eventually come to a deal with the Saints, Vilma will be back 1/2 way through the year, but you can't replace a coach like that, especcially in this situation. I think though that the Saints may be able to get a 8-8 record. This idea may be changed based on future actions.
