QB Battle in Cleveland... Again

The NFL offseason has barely begun and we already facing a QB Battle for next season. QB Josh McCown vs QB Johnny Manziel.

Josh McCown was recently signed to a 3 year deal with Cleveland and this will leave Browns fans wondering: who will be our QB?

The Browns are a suffering franchise. Last season, they were led by QB Brian Hoyer who is now on the free agent market while also dealing with drug abuser WR Josh Gordon who is facing another year long suspension. The Browns are left with a new logo along with WRs Miles Austin and Andrew Hawkins both weak WR, but their two first round draft picks give easy oppurtunity to pick up a WR like DeVante Parker or Dorial Green-Beckham. The backfield suffers too with HBs Isiah Crowell and Terrance West who both put up less then outstanding numbers this past season.

The times Manziel did play he suffered heavily. He could barely get points on the board for the Browns. McCown faced similar problems but he could at least throw the ball and played a successful season with the Chicago Bears in 2013. Manziel is young though and only played one season. Is he worth sitting on the bench yet again?

The answer:
It doesn't matter. It really doesn't. The Browns team is too flawed for a QB to even run the offense. Unless the Browns do major work in this NFL draft and grab a solid WR or two AND a decent HB, they will have another season of failure to look forward too. If they can solidify their WR and HB core, McCown should start week 1. If not, give Manziel the wheels and let him crash the Browns franchise yet again.

At this rate, he may just be another Tim Tebow.
