Wes Welker: Where Will He Go?

WR Wes Welker's contract has expired this year, and he has a choice to make: Will he stay with QB Tom Brady and the New England Patriots or leave for another team? I've decided to do the liberty of choosing the top 5 teams for him to go to.

5. Kansas City Chiefs: The Chiefs were the worst team in the NFL this past season ranking last in the NFL in recieving. This is a year of rebuilding and this may be one of the best ways to get it done. With WR Dwayne Bowe having his contract expire this offseason the Chiefs might not keep Bowe which means they need a big time reciever. Welker can fill that hole and train the QB who will hold the position in Kansas if it is QB Matt Cassel, QB Brady Quinn, QB Geno Smith or any other QB.

4. Cleveland Browns: The Cleveland Browns didnt have the season they were hoping for. They went 4-12 and ranked 19 in the recieving game. WR Josh Gordon became a breakout star and QB Brandon Weeden's favorite target. WR Joshua Cribbs is also an upcoming star in my eyes, but they need something more. HC Rob Chudzinkski may not be enough to turn the Browns around. WR Wes Welker will be able to give Weeden more courage in the pocket with a powerful pass catcher who will help his game. Weeden may also get fired but it is only Febuary. Only time can tell what's coming for the Browns.

3. Jacksonville Jaguars: The Jaguars have had yet another dreadful season in the passing and recieving game ranking 21st. WR Justin Blackmon proved to be just a lot of hype with no real big time performance. WR Cecil Shorts proved to be a big time star but quite the injury risk. QB Chad Henne and QB Blaine Gabbert aren't decent QBs either. Jacksonville has a lot of work to do being in the same division as the Indianapolis Colts and the Houston Texans. WR Wes Welker would allow the passing game to grow stronger which will eventually lead to more running holes for HB Maurice Jones-Drew.

2. San Diego Chargers: The Chargers are in a tough spot. Their only reciever who even benefits them is TE Antonio Gates. WR Malcom Fllyod has not been able to find his way yet, but WR Wes Welker could solve the problem. QB Phillip Rivers is a decent QB and will soon probably be the best QB in the AFC West with QB Peyton Manning of the Denver Broncos soon to retire. Welker adds a new dimension to any team but if the Chargers get Welker now they having a fighting shot against Peyton Manning this year.

1. New England Patriots: The Patriots have had WR Wes Welker to make him one of the biggest playmakers in the game. Welker will get paid about 75 million in 5 years and continue to blow up for the Patriots till QB Tom Brady retires.
